The Grand Prize goes to an aerial shot of surfers linking hands in a floating chain offshore, while the Lighthouse category brings Bodie Island's candy-striped tower standing beneath a star-filled sky and the Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse in Manteo reflected in glassy water at sunrise. Elsewhere, a storm-battered beach house stands defiant in the surf, and a single open clamshell frames the setting sun on a windswept dune.
